Banquinhos que desafiam a gravidade

Móveis lustrosos e estilosos são abundantes na imm Cologne, mas estamos mais interessados no lado mais inovador, singular e bizarro do espectro. É por isso que nossa atenção foi atraída para a competição de design [D3] da feira, um verdadeiro fórum para novos e emergentes talentos, projetos inteligentes e experimentações absolutas. O prêmio deste ano foi para o designer holandês Jólan van der Wiel, criador do “Gravity Stool”. As pernas do banco são de plástico derretido misturado com limalha de ferro, fixadas com um acessório de três magnetos que van der Wiel inventou durante o último ano na Gerrit Rietveld Academie, em Amsterdã. Três pernas saem da massa amorfa como Han Solo da carbonita em aleatórios “formatos orgânicos que são tão característicos da própria natureza”, de acordo com Wiel. E nós concordamos totalmente, porque eles nos lembram explorações de cavernas. “A Caverna dos Móveis Perdidos”, alguém?
