The space's 6,500 square foot interior will be transformed from three stores into one gallery over the next few months.
LOS ANGELES—
NOHO Modern, the Los Angeles–based art and design gallery, has acquired a 6,500-square-foot building in Hollywood. The new space on Santa Monica Boulevard will house public and private galleries under the NOHO Modern name, as well as a garden and offices. The transformation and renovation of the nearly 90-year-old building into a single gallery is slated for completion by the end of 2008.
The Hollywood location will complement NOHO Modern's current gallery on La Cienega Boulevard. Major exhibitions planned for the new space include the North American debut of Brazilian designer Zanini de Zazine Caldas, as well as works by Robert Hansen, John Barbour, and Joao Machado.
